What is After Dark Monopoly?

After Dark Monopoly is a browser board game combining property trading with customizable interaction events. Roll two dice, buy land, build houses, collect rent and use cards or trades to outlast your rivals. It supports 2–4 seats, local friends or bots, and online rooms for remote play.

Monopoly game rules

  1. Choose local or online play and prepare 2–4 players. Set names, interaction events and winner rewards; local player seats can be replaced with bots.
  2. Take turns rolling two dice. Depending on where you land, buy an unowned property, join an auction or pay rent to its owner.
  3. Upgrade an owned street you land on this turn, once per turn, without collecting a full color set. Mortgage property, sell buildings or propose trades when you need cash.
  4. Cards and board events affect money, movement or properties. Complete and confirm any interaction event shown before continuing.
  5. A player who cannot settle a debt goes bankrupt and receives their configured bankruptcy penalty. The last player remaining wins their selected reward.

Monopoly FAQ

How many people can play?

The game supports 2–4 player seats. Share one screen locally or create and join a room to play online from separate devices.

Can I play against bots?

Yes. In local mode, replace other player seats with bots. They roll automatically and decide whether to buy property, use cards or accept trade proposals.

How do I create an online Monopoly room?

Choose online play, create a room and share its room ID. Once players join and select seats, the host starts the game. Each device shows only the actions available to its player.

Can I change events and rewards?

Use the event library and player settings to edit interaction events, cash-level penalties, bankruptcy penalties, winner rewards and nicknames.

What if I cannot afford rent?

Raise funds by mortgaging properties or selling buildings. If the debt still cannot be paid, the player goes bankrupt. The last player who remains wins.
